About Mosel Wine Merchant
An exporter based in Trier, Germany, Mosel Wine Merchant (MWM) represents a portfolio of distinctive, passionate growers from the Mosel and its main tributaries, the Saar and Ruwer, since Roman times one of the world’s pre-eminent winegrowing regions and home to what are arguably the finest white wines in the world.
In addition to our producers, and in cooperation with MWM’s founder, Alexander Rinke, we are a two-person team. Lars Carlberg, based year-round in Trier, works closely with the growers, has extensive knowledge of their vineyards and cellars, and oversees all operations. Dan Melia lives in New York, supports our distributors, clients, and friends across the U.S., and is constantly seeking new opportunities to share these wines with an ever-expanding audience.
