Riesling trocken

Though the VDP prevents the label from saying so, all grapes come from gray-slate soils of the VDP-designated Erste Lage (First Growth) Pündericher Marienburg. After a long, cool, wild-yeast fermentation in very old oak barrels (the youngest is 45 years old), the wine finished below 9 g/l residual sugar—this is bright, clear, chewy, traditional dry Mosel Riesling.
