Mosel Riesling

A liter of freshness, lightness, and fruit, made by the patient, trusting hand of Stefan Steinmetz. The hand-picked grapes come from two choice old-vine parcels in Mülheimer Sonnenlay and Veldenzer Grafschafter-Sonnenberg, single vineyards on opposite sides of the same hill. Fermented, as always, with wild yeasts on the gross lees, this old-style wine (adorned with a retro label) came to rest on its own and without chaptalization at 11 g/l residual sugar, just north of the trocken border.
