Marienburg Riesling Erste Lage Fahrlay

This wine originates from a blue-slate section of Marienburg, known as Fahrlay, at the foot of the hill near the ferry station, from which Clemens travels each day from his home (on one side of the river) to his vines (on the other). Like most of Clemens’s dry-tasting Rieslings, this had extended skin contact and long natural fermentation on the lees. Fahrlay always has a pronounced saltiness at the back of the palate.
