Ayler Kupp Riesling Fass 6 “Senior”
Named in honor of the style that Florian’s grandfather liked to drink, back when dry was a matter of taste, not chemical analysis; this Saar Riesling comes from diverse plots with a good portion of 80- to 90-year-old vines in the most westerly section of the original Ayler Kupp. “Senior,” Florian says, has two faces: the voluptuous and the elegant, and the combination makes for a serious and seriously drinkable wine. Aged in old oak barrels and tank.
